Wesley Eleonora is the managing Director of SIM Caribbean. In this role, he leads the Caribbean activities of (Rotterdam based) SIMgroep and Company Webcast. SIMgroep is the leading e-Government solutions provider in the Netherlands and has been active in the Caribbean since 2009. Wesley has led the digitalization of local governments, housing and healthcare foundations, tax advisory organizations and various social service providers.
Wesley is 37 and was born and raised on Curaçao. At the age of 18 he moved to the Netherlands to continue his education. After obtaining a degree in application management and later on his bachelor in applied sciences at the Hanze University (Groningen), he started his professional career in various projects involving human-technology interaction, software analysis and quality assurance. At prominent organizations such as Squerist (Veenendaal) and the Academic Medical Center of Amsterdam.
Following 10 years of building experience and expertise abroad, he returned to Curaçao eager to apply his experience and skills to contribute to the islands’ development. He’s also actively involved in various social, cultural, educational and innovation projects. He believes that the island has a lot of potential in different sectors; but we need to connect to grow, so we can effectively profit together.
His goals are to continue growing as a person and as a professional. To be valuable, resourceful and trusted. He sees the blessing in every struggle, spreads only good vibes, and wants to be purposefully happy.
