Stephanie Shaw is the founder and owner of the Vertex Group of Companies, a mix of startups domiciled in Curacao that seeks to bring prudent investment options and other service offerings primarily in entertainment to the people of the Dutch Caribbean. Stephanie is motivated by, and passionate in, her drive to contribute to the development of the Dutch Caribbean in particular, and the greater Caribbean in general and as such has ventured in the world of BPO due to Curacao’s unique position at the crossroads between Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean.
Before establishing Vertex, Stephanie served as an Asset Manager for eleven years managing a wide range of portfolios valued at over US295 Million. Jamaican born, Stephanie moved to Curaçao four years ago. Since then, she has been a guest lecturer at the University of Curaçao and has started the Investors’ Corner Initiative which aims to educate people about investing through newspaper publications and also via courses in collaboration with the Central Bank of Curacao and Sint-Maarten and the Dutch Caribbean Securities Exchange.
Stephanie has her educational background in Economics and Accounting (double major), graduating summa cum laude from the University of the West Indies. She is a CFA Charterholder and an International MBA graduate from the IE Business School in Madrid, Spain. In her free time, she enjoys dancing and spending time with her daughter.
